PRADHAN MANTRI AWAS YOJANA (PMAY)
- 1. Any developable zone such as residential/commercial/public semi-public/urbanisable zone/urbanisable zone U-1, U-2/industrial etc., Affordable housing for the economically weaker sections (EWS) & Low income group (LIG), undertaken by government/any institutions authorized by government or owner/any private developer shall be permitted.
- 2. These regulations shall only be applicable for development undertaken under “PRADHAN MANTRI AWAS YOJANA” wherein all the tenements shall be constructed for EWS/LIG with the use of the latest technology.
- 3. Such development shall be permitted in industrial zones only after leaving amenity space. However, no premium shall be charged for allowing residential use in the form of PMAY in the industrial zone.
- 4. The Municipal Commissioner/Metropolitan Commissioner/Chief Executive Officer/Chief Officer, before granting development permission, shall verify and satisfy themselves regarding the feasibility of providing basic infrastructure facilities like electricity, water supply, sewerage, etc. required for the project.
- 5. The project proponent shall plan a proper internal road network, including major linkages to outside roads, whenever necessary.
